What books are you writing about now?
Where can I find your books?
The three series I am currently writing are:
Dragonwood, Surreal Blue Rogue Agent and Love and Wrath. They are all paranormal romantic/ erotic fiction.
Message from the Writer.
Each story is currently up to date. I will from now on post new information about each story with a link as to where the book can be purchased when released. An ISSN and ISBN number would be associated with each link. The ISSN for the imprint Dark Lens Galaxy Collections is ISSN 2306-1642 for the print version.Currently, each ebook will be related to the functioning ASIN(Amazon) or GKEY(Google)numbers attatched to the title in the various ebook stores online. My titles can be found on Smashwords, Amazon, Google, Google Paperback Books and Itunes. The various links would be posted on my site under the header BOOKS.
How will I know when a story has been released?
Hello, my titles can be found under the name E.R. Baine. I write mainly fiction novels whose focus lies within the realm of the paranormal, romantic genres involving vampires, werewolves and far reaching cosmic forces that cannot be explained.
When I first graduated high school I visited my uncle who is a local (and worldwide) acclaimed author. I told him I wanted to write romantic poetry. He told me I had to write more than 1000 poems in order to be taken seriously as a writer. One thousand poems?! To a teenager that seemed like a life sentence, not something I would enjoy doing. So I decided, “To hell with that, this was just something I did in my spare time – I’m not spending the rest of my life writing poetry.” So then I decided to shift focus on another aspect of my writing talent – romantic storytelling.
Through the years I have had the opportunity of following the paths of my many loves in life. I fell in love with computers, got a degree in that. I love to draw and film-making; was able to pursue aspects of that in my lifetime. However, with all the shifting focus and myriad pulls of trajectory that riddle the lifespan of many a human being, like most people, I never forgot my dream: my dream of becoming a writer.
At one point I was a member of the Writers Union of Trinidad and Tobago, I took part in the BBC’s ‘Write Here Write Now 1000 words a day’ email letters for two years. I gained a minor in English, and obtained a Career Diploma in Freelance Writing. I also studied the works of Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and John Donne.
To me, publishing my work online is just the next step in my evolution of becoming an accomplished writer. I never liked the earlier concept of being a writer. That is you would have to write a book, send a proposal to a publisher, wait 3-4 months for a reply. Then if they didn’t like it (much like what happened with J.K. Rawling who was rejected nearly 100 times) you would have to send it to another publisher. Even if a publisher agreed to publish your work, a writer’s cut was mainly next to nothing. Or even worst, the publisher would want you to adjust your story. I decided that the writer’s life wasn’t for me at the time.
However, with the advent of the indie publishing arena taking the place of the vanity press, I am no longer wary of the writer’s life. The hardships of being self-published are no longer daunting (or costly). And I am able to pursue a career in the industry while being both far away from it (taking it easy in the Caribbean) and grasping it at the same time (via facebook, and twitter).
I am also able to keep a promise to my granny who I had been telling I wanted to be an authoress since I saw the female version of the word ‘author’ in my mother’s 1959 edition of the English Grammar and Analysis when I was a little girl. The heroine in the SURREAL BLUE ROGUE AGENT SERIES is especially named after her. Though I know my writing is not within her niche (there is a lot of cursing and fighting involved due in part of a later influence of my love of Uncanny X-Force); Granny, I want you to know…this one is for you.
